54 achievements, level-gated boats and characters — this isn't a one-afternoon game
Only 10 of 54 achievements unlocked here, with milestones running all the way to 5,000 fish (“Legendary angler”) and combo streaks that get genuinely cheeky the higher they go — Combo ×50 reads “50 in a row. Are you even human?” The Tackle Shop backs that depth up: playable characters like Old Veteran and RoboFisher, vessels from a Motor Boat up to a Submarine, and rods with real mechanical differences — the Carbon Rod drops 1.5× faster — all gated by level and bought with points earned from actually playing, not a real-money shop bolted on top.

Get challenged mid-session, then race the clock to beat it
“You've Been Challenged! Beat 7,350 pts catching 13 fish in 2 minutes” — with the opponent's best catch shown for context (a Blue Tang). Accept, and the calm tap-to-cast loop turns into a live duel: a countdown timer, a visible target score, and your own count ticking up in real time. Same fish, same pond, completely different pace.

A new best score only says so when it's actually true
18,950 points, 29 fish, a Clownfish worth +700 — and the banner only reads “NEW BEST SCORE!” because this session genuinely beat the all-time record, not as a default congratulations screen. Weather and time of day shift session to session too — a rainy morning cast looks nothing like a sunny afternoon at the beach.
